Welcome to the Hydranencephaly and Anencephaly Clinical Archive.

This website is a repository of documentation regarding the behavioral and neurological status of individuals born with either hydranencephaly or anencephaly. These neurological conditions differ in both their characteristics and origin, but have this in common that major parts of the cerebral hemispheres are absent at birth. A brief orientation regarding the two clinical conditions can be found under "Hydranencephaly and Anencephaly contrasted and compared”. A brief motivation for making this archive available to interested professionals is provided under ”About us”.

Access to the clinical materials provided herein is given on an individual basis, after a review of a completed application form detailing the applicants credentials and reasons for wanting to review the materials.

It is hoped that this archive will prove useful to intrerested professionals, and feedback on improving its usefulness is welcome.
